Sept. 15th update: Uh Oh is right! I had goofed on one of my activity sheets and forgot to put the mouse in on the hidden animals page. It has been fixed. To those of you and/or your little ones who racked your brains trying to find it, my sincere apologies!

Teachers, especially preschool teachers, this book is full of positional and directional words for your little ones!
The book is available at your local bookstores and online. Here is the Amazon link.
Thanks and good luck!
Nothing scares me more than 2-year-olds being left in the kids’ library with no adult in sight! MUCH scarier than spiders!
Oh yes, Holly, that is truly scary! Thanks!
No visits to Ohio? Shucks 🙂 Looks like a busy tour! Have fun!
Eric, I will have to work on that! Thanks!
Ooo maybe you’ll get to see Susanna in Poughkeepsie. So excited for this new release, Iza!
Susanna and I live within 45 minutes of each other and we see each other from time to time. She’s wonderful! We’ll both be booksigning at a local sheep and wool festival in October, and I am looking forward to that. We’d love to have you join us one of these days, Joanna!
Yes, Joanna! Come to Sheep and Wool! 🙂
Hi Iza, Congratulations on your new book! I love the Sheep and Wool Festival. Perhaps I will see you and Susanna there.
I am not too wild about scorpions. I remember one time when our oldest–now in her 30s– was a toddler and she reached into the compartment of a Fisher Price alphabet toy. She had something clutched in her chubby fist. “What’s this, Mommy?” And she opened her hand to reveal a translucent scorpion. It still gives me chills to think about it.
That IS a creepy memory, Teri…shudder. It would be lovely to see you at Sheep and Wool!
Yes, Teri! Come to Sheep and Wool – we WILL have a party! 🙂
Congratulations, Iza! This is so exciting! The book (which I’ve now had the opportunity to read and admire) is wonderful! And the trailer is fun too. Wouldn’t it be fun if Joanna and Teri came to Sheep and Wool? Hope all your book signing events are hugely successful! xo
Thank you, my friend! It would be amazing to have Joanna and Teri come!
Congratulations! Your book looks gorgeous and the extras so much fun. I’m going to send a link to this page to my daughter. She’s homeschooling her oldest for Kindergarten this year and might enjoy the activities.
Violet, thank you so much! I loved your fishy poem!
Oh! I’m crawling with excitement about your Little Miss Muffet Release release! I love the activity sheets! Congratulations!!!
Crawling with excitement- haha! I hope I was able to spin a good tale:-) Thanks Penny!
Congratulations on a lovely book, Iza!
Hmm… what critter scares me… could be anything or anyone if they creep up quietly– I tend to startle easily! But if I had to pick, I’m with Miss Muffet– spiders!
Oh I hear you, Dana! I let out some blood-curdling screams when I am startled – especial by spiders. Thanks!
You are amazing in so many ways. Congratulations.
Aniu, Jesteś miła i kochana! Thanks so much!
WHOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO! Congratulations, Iza! I can’t wait to see this sweet book. Like Miss Muffet, I am terrified of spiders and especially despise daddy long legs. I just got the creeps writing that. And also jellyfish. And fish in general. And crustaceans, as long as we’re at the sea. Oh, and moths. Can you tell I grew up in the country?
How I wish I could be at one of your book signings one day! I’m so happy for you. So what’s the NEXT project? 🙂
Renee, we are more and more alike! All those things- especially spiders give me shudders. Thanks so much for all your support! Xoxo
Congratulations, Iza! Very happy for you!
Thanks so much, Matt!
Congratulations! I love spiders, but I worry about coming too close to a black widow – I’ve seen two in my garden (ran to get a cup the first time so I could catch it – not a good idea!). When you’re ready to add the Rockies to your tour, let me know – I’ll come to ‘see what I can see’!
I LOVE the Rockies! But black widows…I stay clear of those. Please do not try to catch them! Thanks so much, Julie!
Oh Iza…congratulations! I am so very happy for you…and for young children everywhere!!!! As to bugs and ‘scary’ creatures…when I was a child, we lived with my grandmother in her older home in Brooklyn NY. The cellar was a real cellar…complete with dirt floor. I hated going down there because when you turned on the light, HUGE waterbugs would scurry across your path (or across your toes…yikes!)…and they were IMPOSSIBLE to kill.
Iza, I would LOVE to review your book on my blog…I’m part of Susanna’s Perfect Picture Book Friday group where we review picture books every Friday…I always add a simple fun craft for kids…I can just imagine the fun crafts for your book!
Oh, and I am moving back to the East Coast…New England…New Hampshire to be exact. A little bit closer to the city than Colorado was.:)
Vivian, thanks for all the love today! I would be delighted and honored to have you review my book! Send me an email with your mailing address and we’ll send you a review copy: iza@izatrapani.com
Water bugs- yikes!
I’m here via Jama Rattigan’s Facebook post and….well, because this was one of my kids’ favorite nursery rhymes when they were little.
The little girl next door would love this book, I think. It’s the sort of book she picks out for me to read to her when we visit the library. 🙂
Congratulations on your publication day!
Hello Melodye! Isn’t Jama the best? Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you win a copy for your little friend!
You are such a generous author. I love the name of Poughkeepsie, would love to hope on the plane and listen to you read there with Julian 🙂
I would love nothing more!!!xo
I do not like rats. They are very creepy. Once when I lived at home one chewed through my wall. I woke up and it was sitting in the floor looking at me . Ugh:/ I love all your books
Oh Melissa- what a nightmare! Yikes! Rats are definitely creepy. Thanks so much for stopping by and also for liking my Facebook page!
